The Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet, France, is the ideal setting to discover new talents that will be protagonists of the 2009 World Series championship.
The first day of the three in the program for the collective test began yesterday, Wednesday 5 November, with wet track in the morning session. Three hours, from 9:30 to 12:30, in which 21 diders went on track to test the cars. Draco Team lines up Marco Barba, the Spanish Driver, 23 years, who drove in 2008 his first season in Formula Renault 3.5 with excellent results. Barba won the 3rd time in the morning after 68 laps. The second car of Draco went on track with Tristan Vautier, the driver chosen by Renault to having concluded the 2008 season at 2nd place in the Championship of France Formula Renault 2.0. Vautier closed the first test session at the 6th place.
The second session started at 14.00 to finish at 17.00 with the track dry. In the afternoon, Draco Team met Omar Leal, the Colombian winner of the Italian Formula 3000 in 2008. Leal get acquainted with the new car and he was able to improve its performance lap after lap. Marco Barba, still on track, was all the afternoon in the top positions, winning several times the first place. After a challenge to the last cent with Clos, the Spanish has finished to 38 cents from the first.
