On track in Barcelona with the Draco Team Negrao and Richelmi for the first official day of collective test
First day of collective test for the Draco Team in the Montmelo circuit near Barcelona. The morning began with flooded track by a lot of rain.
As soon as possible the Draco Team was on track with the two drivers who have tried this morning: Stephane Richelmi, coming from the Italian Formula 3, and Andre Negrao, in 2010 in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. The rain slowly stopped even if the weather conditions have always been uncertain with a strong wind; the Draco Team has been able to test both drivers making good times in wet conditions especially with Negrao. In the last hours of the morning session the track was dry and the drivers were able to try even with slicks. Negrao closed the morning with a good 1'37"971 (10th time) with 50 laps.
In the afternoon Negrao had posture problems in the car and he found pain in the neck, so driver and team have decided not to use a set of tires in order to have it available tomorrow, always with Negrao. For Richelmi was not initially very easy because the driving logic of the World Series 3.5 is very different from the Formula 3, but the driver has however made good time finished with 1'34"921 (12o.).
"We are pleased with these two drivers who have demonstrated a good level," says Nadia Morini, Draco Team Manager, at the end of the day "counting posture problems for Negrao and driving problems for Richelmi, and the choice of not to use a set of new tires, I can say that the cars are very good and the two drivers gave us a good impression. "
Tomorrow for the Team Draco there will be Daniel De Jong and Andre Negrao.
