ALEX Lloyd JOINS DAMS FOR MONACO WORLD SERIES RACE
Le Mans, 16th May 2005 -- Young British talent Alex Lloyd will replace Alx Danielsson at Monaco following the accident and injury of Alx at Zolder.
Alex Lloyd is a very promising young driver from the Isle of Man, UK. As with all young drivers, he started his racing career in karting where he enjoyed great success. Alex has persevered with his dream and worked his way up through the formulas. His performances in the Formula Renault UK championship impressed many in the industry and led to him being shortlisted for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year award, which he duly won. In 2004 he competed in the final 7 rounds of the Euro F3000 championship. Despite his relative inexperience, he performed admirably, earning 3 poles and 1 win. He was the first test driver for the ill-fated Formula Superfund car and has been shortlisted as one of the four possible drivers for the UK A1GP team.
