Barcelona, Spain: James Walker promised that he would end his 2008 World Series by Renault campaign on a high note and he certainly delivered the goods at the Circuit de Catalunya today. The Jersey racer stormed to a second place finish after a fantastic race which saw James take the lead after the pit-stops.

Starting the race from fifth, James got away well, holding his grid position. As the race settled into a rhythm the team decided to call him in earlier than planned for his pit-stop as he was being held up by traffic. James put in some very fast in and out laps and went on to set fastest race laps after his stop.

This performance was rewarded with the lead of the race which James held onto brilliantly until the very last lap when Esteban Guerreri, on fresher rubber than James, got through.

"I'm very happy with today's result," said James. "Of course it would have been amazing to win but after the recent luck we've had I'm very happy to take second. It feels good to end the season on a high like this, especially as people always remember your last result. Really this is great and it gives us a great platform from which to make our plans for next year."
