FDA -- an unlucky weekend for Zampieri

Barcelona, 10 October -- Final event of the season for the young Ferrari Driver Academy student, Daniel Zampieri, who this weekend was competing at Barcelona's Montmelo circuit in the WSR 3.5. The Pons Racing team standard bearer, left the Catalan track with no points to his name and an eighth place overall in the final championship classification.

After retiring from Race 1 on Saturday, because of technical problems on the car, Zampieri was then also compelled to retire in Race 2, when he was lying fourth. He spun and the car was left beached on a kerb. Today's race featured several off-track excursions with cars getting stuck in the gravel, because of the slippery surface, which caused no less than five retirements and the Roman driver was therefore unable to secure any points to see him move up the order.
