Podium skimed in Barcelona. Baguette 4th after a beautiful race. Pity for the traffic outside the box
Third in the starting grid after his excellent time of qualifying, Bertrand Baguette passes immedialtely in second place at the start of Race 2, due to the withdrawal of Duran. A few laps and he is already attached to Guerrieri,, the first on track. Between the two drivers there is a great duel where Baguette tries to overtake several times, hungry to victory. The lap of the pit stop approaches and Guerrieri go back in. Baguette first, already he feels smell of podium. The pit stop of Draco Team is exemplary, but the problem is at the return on track. After the exit lane from box Baguette try to accelerate but many cars close it. Cantelli before him, very slow, don't make space to overtake. The laps available continue to decrease and Baguette tries to recover, but the time lost for the traffic to return on track is crucial. At the checkered flag Baguette is 4th. Surely a good result, although with car and driver in perfect form and a perfect organization on the box, the team wanted to go at the top of the podium.
A short race istead for Marco Barba, out in the first lap for a contact, having found different cars in the second curve.
With Barcelona the 2008 World Series Renault championship concludes. Draco Team has embarked on a path of learning and experience with its two drivers who are now ready to dart along the road of professionalism.
