The weekend at Brno started well for the Draco team with the best race of Julian Leal
Held today the first race of the 4th round of the season for the Renault World Series championship in Brno, in Czech Republic. During the qualifying of this morning Julian Leal, the Colombian driver of Draco team, got the third row of the grid with a good time of 1'43 "690, while his teammate Nathanael Berthon gained the 4th row. The race 1 started at 13.00 of this afternoon, under a burning sun. Immediately after the start, Leal made an overtaking against Kunimoto and he got the 4th position. During the race the Colombian Draco driver had tried several times to overtake Nebilitskiy that was slower than him, but the KMP drivers didn't let it go and carry out several times incorrect maneuvers, until he closed Leal in straightness of the box. A good result for Colombia in its second year in the league with Draco is having a positive season in large developments. More points at home thanks to Draco Berthon that crosses the finish line in 8th place and 2o. among the rookies.
"We did a good job with the team - Julian Leal said after the race - we've made some improvements and today it was a good race. After the start I overtakes Kunimoto, then I tried several times to overtake Nebilitskiy but I was not given. For tomorrow we will change the set, it is a different race and we see the right set up. I already knew the Brno track because I've raced here with the Auto GP, but with this car I changed all the paths so it was a great job but for the moment I have a great satisfaction. "
