3 November 2003 - Following to the early victory in the Series from Juan Alvarez yesterday in Albacete, the World Series Light teams are already looking into the 2004 and tested today some European drivers interested in taking part in the forthcoming season.
The current Dutch Champ of the Benelux Formula Renault, Paul Meijer beat he official lap record of the World Series Light in Albacete. Meijer adapted very well to the Vergani Formula car and already topped the list of times during the morning session. The driver finished the day on top of the list with a lap time of 1.19.830 and completed a total of 44 laps.
Second quickest was the Portuguese Cesar Camapaniço lapping 1.20.145. After his participation in the F3 Euroseries, the driver took an appointment with top team Epsilon by Graff. Julian Vidot, who has lost the championship on behalf of Alvarez this week-end, was very attentive in the explanation of the secrets of this car, the fastest 2 litter single-seater in the competition field.
Givanni Tedeschi, already signed with Vergani Formula in 2004, had his first drive with the Dallara AER car.
