RPM Racing announces Carlin Motorsport and Saulnier Racing as the new entries for the World Series 2003 season.
Barcelona, October 16th RPM Racing, S.L, the company that organises the all-new Single-Seater Series Telefónica World Series by Nissan, is pleased to announce the entry of two new teams in the World Series category for the 2003 season. CARLIN MOTORSPORT and SAULNIER RACING will join the other ten existing teams in the new thrilling season.
Carlin Motorsport, formed in 1996 by Trevor Carlin and Martin Stone in 1996, were the 2001 British F3 Champions with Anthony Davidson and Takuma Sato. Actually, the team has become an established part of the F3 scene thanks to the results achieved by their reputed drivers, like Takuma Sato, James Courtney or the Indian ace Narain Kartikheyan.
Saulnier Racing (Promatecme until 2000) has been one of the leading European Formula 3 teams for over a decade. They won the F3 French Championship in 2001 with Ryo Fukuda. The team owned by of Serge Saulnier has also achieved other good campaigns in 1999 (3rd in the British F3 Championship with Jenson Button), 1998 (Enrique Bernoldi, 2nd in the British F3 Championship), and 1998 (Nicolas Minassian, vice-champion of the F3 British Championship).
