In the overall standings Checa is now in twelfth position with 29 points and Badovini lies fifteenth with 20 points.
On the TT Circuit in Assen, Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty split the race victories in FIM Superbike World Championship double race event in The Netherlands. Sam Lowes took the win to the wire over Kenan Sofuoglu in the Supersport race.
Marco Melandri (ITA) finished the Superpole qualifying session in seventh place and His team-mate Chaz Davies (GBR) start the race tomorrow from 13th place on the grid.
The two Ducati Alstare flag-bearers therefore qualified easily for this afternoon’s Superpole.
In the free practice at noon, also under wet conditions, Marco and Chaz were third and fourth respectively.
Leon Haslam crashed at Turn 7 in morning practice sustaining injuries to his left leg. In the World Supersport classification, it was Antonelli who stormed to the top on the very wet Assen TT Circuit
