Victory for Loris Baz!

After Valencia and Monza, Loris Baz won beautifully his third race of the season in Brands Hatch. This is his 6th podium out of 7 races ! After crashing, his main opponent in the championship Patrick Vostarek loses precious points, while Loris has now a 32 points advantage in the provisional standings.

Starting from pole position, Loris is quickly in 4th position behind Rea, La Marra and Vostarek. At the end of lap 1, Vostarek leads in front of Baz. On lap 3, Vostarek is fighting for the lead with Loris and Linfoot. Then Linfoot passes the Frenchman who grabs quickly again the second position. On lap 5, Loris takes the lead. Vostarek and Linfoot crash together and both have to retire. Baz is then leading in front of Lonbois (+ 0.8) et Rea (+ 2.1). Lonbois catches Loris (+ 0.1) with 4 laps to go. On lap 9, Lonbois overtakes Baz, who gets quickly the lead back. Finally Loris can manage to stay in front of the excellent Belgian and wins a beautiful race.

Loris Baz: " It was really good. I missed a little bit my start, but I had to win not to lose any more points to Vostarek. Only the first position was important. I made a few mistakes, like a lack of confidence in the front. I caught Vostarek, who later crashed. I had to be careful not to fall. Lonbois passed me but I overtook him as soon as I could. I am very happy with this victory. Thank you to my team. "

Martial Garcia (team-manager): " Loris has done a very impressive race which demonstrates all his qualities even if he is young. He proved again today that he has a lot of talent. "
