TEAM ALSTARE BACK IN ACTION.

Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra were back on track again at the Eurospeedway Lausitz tests this weekend and the first two days of the tests were more then productive. Troy (now fully recovered from his recent bout of chickenpox) and Yukio (back from extensive treatment in Japan) both immediately got down to work testing some new parts and finding good set-ups at the 4.265 kilometre circuit. At the end of the second problem-free day both riders were happy with the progress made. Japanese rider Noriyuki Haga topped the standings at the end of day two, but the lap times of the lead group are very close - especially when the times on race tyres are considered.

TROY
After the chickenpox and the bad weekend in Misano, it was really good to be back in the saddle again and working with the bike. I did give the bike a run-out at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, but that was just a demo for the spectators and a lot of fun. Here in Lausitz we've been testing some new bits and pieces and trying out the kind of ideas we don't have time to try during a regular race weekend. I'm happy with the test so far and I'm sure that we're going to have a much better weekend at Brno in the next race.

YUKIO
I'm sorry to have missed Goodwood because it is such a wonderful event, but it was necessary for me to go and see my specialist in Japan and try and get my body back into good shape again. I am so glad I did, because I arrived at Lausitz feeling much better then I had felt at the last two races. We have been testing some small pieces and I have also tried a new suspension idea which makes me feel more comfortable when I brake hard - this will help my style. Troy and I were not worried about setting fast lap times here - it is more important to get a good feeling with the bike before the Brno race next weekend
