Leon's World Cup Special
Team Suzuki Alstare rider Leon Haslam unveiled a Limited Edition Arai helmet in Kyalami, South Africa this weekend. The helmet commemorates the 2010 football World Cup and features two golden lions on the side, three lions on the chin and the names of the 1966 England winning team around the base. The superb artwork also includes the World Cup itself (draped in the colours of the South African flag) as well as a lion finished in the Cross of St. George, plus Leon's own number 91.
Leon will wear this helmet in both 24-lappers on raceday this weekend and on every raceday until England are knocked out of the World Cup. Football and Haslam fans will have the opportunity own a little piece of history, as Arai will produce just 250 of this design. Each comes complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity, signed by Leon himself. Purchasers of the helmet will also receive a free ticket to the International Motorcycle Show at the NEC in November, where Leon will personally hand over the helmets.
Leon "I love this. It's great to have an input in designing something so personal and see the end result in the flesh - and this helmet looks fantastic, even better than I expected. I'll be proud to wear it this weekend, battling for wins and the WSB championship and can only hope and dream that we get somewhere near the top step as a team in the World Cup itself. It's great that Arai are behind it too, and I look forward to meeting everybody who gets one."
The Haslam WC replica can be ordered via the Arai Five Star dealer network, available in sizes XXS-XXL with a retail price of £399.99.
