The World Superbike and Supersport Championship Paddock at The Bologna Motor Show
Superbike and Supersport are on their way to the 2003 Motor Show and they are treating the occasion like another Grand Prix.
In Hall 19, a 1200 m2 replica of the World Superbike (SBK) and Supersport (WSS) Championship paddock will be built in order to treat the public to the thrills of the track and the possibility to come into contact with the very best two-wheeled vehicles derived from standard production models. Six teams will be present with their technical vehicles and the very best competition motorbikes.
The action will be taking place in the SBK Ring , which on the competition circuit provides the venue for post competition and heat press conferences and will be positioned in the centre of the space, where on Sunday the 7th and Monday 8th December there will be interviews and autograph sessions with the champions of the season that has just come to a close. The scene will be completed with a display of the trucks belonging to the six teams, another essential element of the paddock, which will also house the Pirelli Truck and a series of initiatives organised by the Milan manufacturer.
Here is a list of the teams that will be participating, with the vehicles that have characterised and dominated the thrilling season of these two extremely spectacular championships.
Ducati Fila: on show the motorbike bearing the number 100, belonging to 2003 World SBK Champion Neil Hodgson and number 11 belonging to Ruben Xaus. The riders competing for this team will be the winning line-up of Neil Hodgson, Ruben Xaus, Regis Laconi and Lorenzo Lanzi.
Ducati NCR: a Superbike vehicle will be on show and the rider will be David Garcia.
Kawasaki Bertocchi: two Superbike and one World SuperSport bike will be on show, accompanied by riders Mauro Sanchini, Ivan Clementi and Stefano Cruciani.
Team PSG -1 (Ducati): featuring the motorbike belonging to Pier Francesco Chili, who will also be present at the Exhibition.
Honda Ten Kate: a WSS bike will be on show. Guests of honour will be Chris Vermeulen 2003 World SuperSport Champion and Brock Parkes.
Yamaha Belgarda: a WSS bike will be on show. the team's rider will be Jurgen Van Den Goorbergh.
