The 2015 eni FIM World Superbike Championship officially began with a series of events that also celebrated 25 years of WorldSBK competition at the iconic Phillip Island GP Circuit.
With almost perfect weather conditions the 25 protagonists relished the opportunity to fine tune their machines.

An enthralling 20 lap race 1 saw Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) emerge victorious at a cloudy and overcast Portimão to claim his 7th win of the season and the 21st of his WSBK career.
Tom Sykes took the double on the team’s home round, in front of the 24,255 spectators attending the event, whilst Loris Baz ended up twice second.
The season starts this coming weekend in Australia.
