OMV CEE Rally Team within scoring ranks

Natalie Barratt can be well satisfied with the second day of the "Propecia Rally New Zealand". Yesterday's technical problems were repaired and thanks to the retirement of several opponents the British OMV driver moved up to scoring ranks in the Production Car ranking. Barratt currently lies in seventh place following eleven of 17 special stages.

Consistency pays off

The world looked much brighter once again for Natalie Barratt on the second day of the Rally New Zealand. Friday's technical problems were solved by Stohl-Racing. "It was the main switch which had gotten a false contact. Once we had found that out it wasn't a problem to repair the damage", explains Günther Aschacher, Team Manager of the OMV CEE Rally Team. And since the second day had taken its toll on several prominent competitors in the FIA Production Car World Rally Championship the Brit moved up from eleventh to seventh place. Now it is essential to defend this place in order to score points. Barratt: "It is a great feeling to be able to compete for points. If we don't encounter technical problems on Sunday we should be able to score one ore more of them. That would be a very satisfying end to the season."
