Another exciting day is completed here in Japan, and Petter and Chris are still overnight leaders. They started this second day in the lead and also set the fastest time on the first stage of the morning. Then they got a 10 seconds time penalty on SS13 for a 0,1 second jumpstart, and dropped down to third. But during the afternoon loop of stages, they managed to get back in the lead.
- This has been a very good day, says Petter Solberg. - The car has been perfect all day, and it is a great feeling to know we are actually still overnight leaders. I'm getting better and better from my illness, and are really looking forward to a big fight tomorrow. I really thought I should loose more time being the first car on the road, so maybe it will be good tomorrow as well. I have no other strategy other then go "flat out"!
Sunday is the final day here in Japan, and with only a 5 seconds gap between the top three drivers it will be an exciting. A total of 8 stages are to run tomorrow, with no service between. Petter and Chris will start the first stage at 0731hrs (local time).
