Today and tomorrow the recce of the rally
Just two days to go before the start of the Supermag Rally Italia Sardinia, 5th round of the FIA World Rally Championship and 3rd round of the FIA Junior World Rally Championship, but the event started already. Today and tomorrow the drivers will be testing the route. These recce are very important because the race route changed of a 75% and all the drivers will discover it for the first time in these days.
Both drivers and co-drivers will have two days of intense work in order to set up the notes which will allow them to race at their best. They are allowed to pass twice on each Special Stage of the rally. The challenge is going to take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there is not that much time to discover all the secrets of the race.
Ready to go for the Sardinian rally 2005 and even this year the Sardinian drivers will be in the spot light. It is going to be an important challenge and a chance to compete in an international championship meeting drivers form all over the world. 16 teams will do the best to reach the highest level of their class. Let's talk about them: Piero Fresi and his codriver Marcello Orecchioni ( Supermag Rally Italia Sardinia) on Opel Astra Gsi group N number 97 prepared at Arzachena, by the clever mechanic Paolo Medda. Salvatore Filigheddu on Peugeot 106 with number 98, group N will take part to the rally with his codriver Agostina Orecchioni ( Treviso, Millennium Sport Promotion) Paolo Liceri who was not very lucky last year because he was obliged to retire enter the race this year on Mitsubishi Evo VIII ( Pro Race ) number 77 with the codriver Alessandra Silecchia Classified 22 last year, Francesco Marrone on Mitsubishi Evo VI number 79 will enter the race again with Alberto Arru. In the N 4 group Tommy Pileri and Maurizio Pili on Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII. Paolo Bacchella and Masina Paletta number 93 on Renault RS. Francesco Cozzulla a blind codriver will be Fabio Fisiero's partner .Davide Catania and his codriver Federico Vescarelli on Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. Ezio Pittalis number 92 on Mitsubishi Evo VI for group N 4
