EDDIE IRVINE RALLIES FOR RED BULL

The Red Bull VW Touareg -- the top team in cross-country rallying will make a special appearance at the Super Special Stage of WRC-- where Rally Ireland will kick off on Thursday the 15th of November in Stormont, Belfast. Northern Ireland's own, Eddie Irvine will turn back the clock & take to the wheel of the Red Bull VW Touareg on this very special occasion.

Cheered on by his home crowd, expect the 'Swerve' to show he still has what it takes when he thrills the crowd with a demonstration of what the Touareg can do. Irvine famously drove in Formula 1 for Jordan and drove with all time great Michael Schumacher at Ferrari.

The spectator friendly event, which opens the first ever round of the World Rally Championship to visit these shores, kicks off on Thursday 15th November at 6pm and sees the top rally drivers compete head to head around Parliament Buildings' grounds and a flying finish over the specially designed Creagh Bridge. Rally Ireland will then move to Sligo where it will be based for the weekend as different stages are held throughout the North -West region.

World Rally legend Carlos Sainz recently captured the World driver's title in the Red Bull VW Touareg but his place in Belfast will be taken by a legend from another sport! The sport is most famous for the epic Dakar Rally, which takes the competitors through the desert planes of West Africa.
