Against a World class field of World Championship teams and drivers, current Australian Rally Champion Possum Bourne is happy to hold onto eighth outright after another strong day is dusty and difficult conditions. Bourne took the option to hold station over the day's stages, content with letting the WRC drivers either make or break their events.

"We pushed hard yesterday but I'm happy just to let the other guys fight it out, we're here to finish and secure the manufacturer's title," commented a delighted Bourne after completing the rallies final run on the Langley Park Super Special Stage. Bourne experienced only minor dramas during the day, a poor tyre choice on SS13 dropped time, Bourne felling that a wider tyre would have helped.
