The final results of Rally Argentina were amended this evening after car number 1, the Peugeot of rally winners Richard Burns and Robert Reid, was excluded from the event for a technical infringement.

The FIA Technical Delegate reported that the flywheel on the Peugeot 206 WRC was too light, and didn't comply with the homologation form. Peugeot declined to appeal the decision.

With Burns out, Carlos Sainz has been declared the new overall winner of the rally. 555 Subaru World Rally Team driver Petter Solberg was second and Colin McRae third.
