Jones eager for Acropolis

22 year old Stuart Jones is eagerly looking forward to this weekends Acropolis Rally as the young Welshman tackles his third PWRC round. Stuart, co-driven by fellow Welshman Craig Parry, will be looking for a clean run as the pair aim to gain more experience of the tough and highly competitive Production World Rally Championship.

Stuart and Craig have been busy preparing for the extreme heat and strain that they will face on this weekends rally with an extensive training programme. Both are confident that their fitness levels will aid them on a rally that is as tough on the crews as it is on the cars.

"Craig has contested the Acropolis before and he's told me how hot it can get in the car. So we've based our training programme around that. I enjoy the heat and don't see it being a problem this weekend but both of us will be carefully watching our fluid levels!" commented Stuart.

So far Stuart and his family run SJR team have endured a character building start to the season, struggling with a variety of small problems. Despite this, Stuart finished ninth in the PWRC in Argentina, narrowly missing out on a world championship point on one of the roughest rallies he has ever experienced.
