OMV BIXXOL Rally Teams take up season 2007

o Little snow, a lot of ice and low temperatures at the "Uddeholm Swedish Rally 2007"

o Martin Prokop/Jan Tomanek in 9th place in P-WRC following super stage

o Andrej Jereb/Miran Kacin want to gain experience

The OMV BIXXOL Rally Team with Andrej Jereb and Miran Kacin was content following the beginning of the "Uddeholm Swedish Rally 2007". Even though the Slovenian OMV duo was almost only a bystander during the shakedown they are still confident for their debut on snow and ice in the World Championship. Following the 1,90 kilometres long super stage in Karlstad the OMV BIXXOL driver lies in 26th place in the group-N-ranking. In the morning Czech OMV BIXXOL driver Martin Prokop had already been impressed by the development of the Mitsubishi Evo IX and was able to realise his experience in the Junior-WRC with a good eleventh place in group-N-ranking and ninth place in the P-WRC.

Limited shakedown for OMV BIXXOL Rally Team

Slovenian OMV duo Andrej Jereb/Miran Kacin had actually planned to use the morning for set-up and fine tuning. "Unfortunately we were only able to take two turns on the course since then a driver in front of us slid off the road and the shakedown was cancelled. We will start rather cautiously and try to get closer to the limit by the by - surely the right tactics for our debut ", said OMV driver Jereb.

Impressed by the development

Martin Prokop, employed by the OMV BIXXOL Rally Team CZ, was already impressed by the super special stage in Karlstad: "It has been more than three years since I last steered a group-N-car and the Mitsubishi Evo IX has definitely gone through an enormous amount of development. I believe that we are absolutely capable of scoring WRC-points here - I am really looking forward to the next three days ".
