Some comments: - It looks like it will be a Sainz-Makinen figth with Liatti as the outsider, but this is Monte-Carlo where a bad choice of tyres can make someone lose minutes in just one stage, so even Auriol still has a (not very big) chance.

- Loix is really a raising star. His first year in the Monte-Carlo and he is fighting with McRae. But McRae has had some problems (fogged windshield) and in the 5th stage he crashed into a snow wall. His navigator needed to get out and push. He lost 1'27" there. Loix is driving a Toyota Belgium car.

- All 23 drivers are still in the rally. Note that this is only the "pro" rally. There are about 126 non-pros that are in the "Challenge Prince Albert de Monaco", but the web site doesn't say anything about them.

One of them has a famous name: Vatanen Kim with a Cosworth Group N. His father (Ari Vatanen) is his "scout" (correct word in English ? The guy that drives through the stage some time before to report on surface conditions (snow, "verglas", etc...)).

Today, tuesday, the first stage starts at 7:05 GMT. Last is at 16:57 GMT.
