Now I have a strong mandate as president of the FIA to address the situation of motorsport, and rally will be amongst my priorities. I'm very optimistic we are going to have a great 2010 championship but I'm even more optimistic about the future of rallying. We know a lot of things have to be improved and it's our whole commitment to make sure that happens - on the sporting side and on the technical side - and to make sure we create a much bigger interest for manufacturers, from private competitors and the media," said Todt.

In addition to this characters were also present on the stage reigning PWRC champion Armindo Araujo from Portugal and reigning JWRC champion Martin Prokop, who was moreover the sole representative of new Super 2000 World Rally Championship's competitors.
"I have great regard for the invitation to this event. It is in a way appreciation of our successes last year. Of course, I would like to come back next year, but it wouldn't be easy at all. I am expecting challenging season in strong SWRC competiton and I know, that the battle for the top positions will be really tough. Anyway, we have enough experience in WRC, we have raced more than fifty rallies, so we will do our best to succeed. In Sweden, where the season starts next week we will see how we stand compared to our rivals," said Martin Prokop, who will race this year with Ford Fiesta S2000 in the colours of Czech Ford National Team.
