Sebastien Ogier has closed the gap on his Finnish teammate.
Jari-Matti Latvala and VW teammate Sebastien Ogier are separated by just 3.4 seconds going into the final day of Rally Finland action. Latvala hit a hole in the road wrong, suffering a broken right front brake caliper. He was forced to run the final stages of the day wounded and Ogier could smell blood.
He pounced and tore into his teammate's once comfortable advantage, putting him on the hot seat as the final day looms. Kris Meeke is third, but over 80 seconds adrift of the VW's.
Andreas Mikkelsen ended the day fourth and Mikko Hirvonen fifth. Both of them had to carry their cars with Mikkelsen reporting that he had no brakes and Hirvonen's car suffering a busted shock absorber on the right front.
Mads Ostberg was the only notable retirement, being pulled out of the rally after officials discovered roll cage damage caused by a stone during the mid-leg break. He was running fourth at the time.
The remainder of the top ten is made up of Hayden Paddon, Juho Hanninen, Elfyn Evans, Craig Breen, and Henning Solberg.
