WOOSTER, OH (May 30) -- Jac Haudenschild, one of the most popular drivers in Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series history, couldn't stay away from the series for long.

"The Wild Child" will drive Dwight Reidling's #9 Metal Pro sprinter when the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series sanctions the inaugural Commonwealth Clash at Lernerville Speedway Friday and race at Eldora Speedway Saturday. TNN: The National Network will provide live coverage from Lernerville, starting at 9 p.m. (EDT).

"I'm really looking forward to racing with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series again," Haudenschild said Wednesday. "I've been out racing with my boys every week, but that doesn't pay very well. This deal will only be for this weekend. I like racing with the Outlaws the best, but I have to race where I can now until I get something permanent."

Haudenschild, who has raced with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series since 1982, opened the season in Dennis Roth's #83 Beef Packers Eagle. He last raced with the series at Huset's Speedway April 29th and finished 14th in the main event. Despite missing five events, "The Wild Child" ranks 18th in the point standings with five top-10 finishes.

Phil Gressman and Tim Shaffer have raced for Reidling in recent years. Gressman drove the Toledo-based sprinter with the All-Stars Circuit of Champions last year and won the Sharon Nationals.
