SEDALIA, MO (June 18) -- The hottest driver in sprint car racing can hardly wait for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series to return to State Fair Motor Speedway.

Tyler Walker, who has won three straight World of Outlaws Gumout Series races, leads the standings by 96 points over Shane Stewart. He passed Danny Lasoski early in the 18th lap on his way to winning the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series "A" Feature at State Fair Motor Speedway May 10th. The $10,000 victory was Walker's first in a Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series main event since May 15, 1999, at Tri-City Speedway.

"Finally!" Walker yelled to the capacity crowd after turning his patented victory flip on the front straightaway. "(Crew chief) Ricky (Warner) gave me a great car tonight, and I can't say enough about my car owners, Wallace and Coeta (Ledford). I'm so excited I don't really know what else to say."

Wallace Ledford was equally excited, saying, "We're awful proud of Tyler. He's one of the best drivers in the United States."

The "greatest show on dirt" will return to the semi-banked, ½-mile June 26th.

Walker led three Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series "A" Features and recorded three top-five finishes in March and, only a week ago earlier, swept the Gumout event at LaSalle Speedway.

Winning a main event at the Terre Haute Action Track and a preliminary feature at O'Reilly Auto Parts Motor Speedway in Topeka, KS, last weekend, gave Lasoski a 34-point cushion over 16-time champion Steve Kinser in their battle for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series points lead. "The Dude" won "A" Features at State Fair Motor Speedway in 1999 and 2001.

Lasoski will host the Fifth Annual Michael Ross Foundation Golf Tournament Tuesday. Last year, the tournament raised $50,000 for the treatment of tay sachs disease.
