Two Winners to Open Season With Outlaws By Richard Day FAIRMOUNT, IN (February 22) - Despite reports to the contrary, Two Winners Racing will open the season with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series Friday at Kings Speedway. "We're coming back out," Tom Wimmer said Wednesday. "We're going to be at Kings Speedway and run the first swing through the Spring Nationals at the Devil's Bowl. Then we're going to take a look at what's happening." Dennis Moore, Jr., a regular in Knoxville Raceway's weekly racing program in recent years, will open the season in the #7TW. Moore finished third in Knoxville's point standings last season. He received Knoxville Raceway's Most Improved Driver award in 1996. Two Winners has competed in every Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series race since Joe Gaerte started driving the #7TW sprinter for Tom Wimmer in 1989. Bob Kramer joined the team as co-owner and Jeff Swindell became its driver four years later. 104+ Octane Boost, a division of Gold Eagle, left the team as its major sponsor following the 1999 season. The team is currently seeking a new major sponsor.
