"Man, this is cool! My little brother (Bud) runs the non-wing cars here, and he told me it would get right up by the fence, so we just got up and let it run. I have to thank HR Cattle, Dennis and Theresa Roth--they've given me a great opportunity, and we're getting ready to run full time with these guys. This might make up for some of the tough luck we've had the last couple of weeks. Donny (Schatz) and Steve (Kinser) were fast all night long, and we were just kind of back there cruising around. I saw them both go to the bottom, and I thought 'I think there's enough room up there to squeeze by them', so I just made the move and figured we'd either crash or have the lead. I saw Sammy (Swindell) there on the last lap, and I just tried to keep a lapped car in between us. It probably would have gotten ugly coming out of (turn) four--we both probably would have crashed. I'm just happy to get this win. . .it's time for a beer, now!"
