Kinser Seeks First World of Outlaws Sprint Series Victory In Tony Stewart Racing's Bass Pro Shops Sprinter

INDIANAPOLIS (April 15, 2008) -- Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) and driver Kraig Kinser will head to the picturesque landscape of southern Indiana Saturday for racing action with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series. Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., will play host to the "Greatest Show on Dirt" as the nomadic series makes its first appearance of the year in the Hoosier state.

On Saturday, Kinser and the rest of the WoO Sprint Series competitors will return to the beautifully groomed quarter-mile of Tri-State Speedway for their only appearance of the season. In his last appearance at the track, on April 16, 2005, Kinser finished 23rd in the A-main. He has made four starts at the facility, earning one top-five and one top-10 finish. Kinser's father, Steve, won the series' last event at Tri-State Speedway on April 21, 2007.

Kinser and his TSR teammate, Donny Schatz, are also scheduled to make a pre-event appearance at the J.D. Byrider store in Evansville, Ind., on Saturday. The event will run from 12-2 p.m. CDT, with the drivers and cars from both teams on hand for autographs and photograph opportunities. The J.D. Byrider store will also host a live radio remote during the appearance, and attending race fans can register to win one of eight VIP packages. The store is located at 2116 North First Avenue, Evansville, Ind., 47710.

Race fans unable to attend Saturday's event at Tri-State Speedway can catch all of the action on DIRTVision.com. Fans can listen live as Johnny Gibson, "Voice of the Outlaws," calls the action as he does at all WoO Sprint Series events on the DIRTVision.com cybercast, as well as on the DIRT Radio Network. Go to www.DIRTVision.com for more information on all the site features, including updated results from each night of racing, as well as a chat room to interact with other race fans.

The grandstand gates at Tri-State Speedway will open on Saturday at 4 p.m. CDT. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with racing to begin at 7:30 p.m. The official track Web site is www.tristatespeedway.com. Tickets can be purchased by calling the track at (812) 768-6025. They will also be available for purchase at the gate on Saturday.

Kraig Kinser, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Chevy/Maxim:

One of TSR's sponsors, J.D. Byrider, will host a pre-race fan event and a group of guests at the Tri-State event. Are you looking forward to having an added fan base at the race on Saturday?

"I definitely enjoy it when our sponsors bring groups to the race track. It's great to have them attend and see our racing program in action. It's fun to talk with our sponsors and their guests. I enjoy the feedback that they offer. It's also great to be able to have a chance to thank them in person and to let our sponsors know how much we appreciate everything they do for TSR."

What makes Tri-State Speedway unique?

"The size of Tri-State makes it stand out. It's really a track that's all its own. Most of the time, it's a two-groove track and it gives us a chance to really put on a good show for the fans. The staff at Tri-State really tries to stay on top of the track and they take the time to work it several times during the night if it needs it. The attention they give it makes it pretty racy and we usually have some really good racing there. The key to being fast at Tri-State is to put yourself in a position to start as close to the front as possible. We won't change a lot on the car from the start to the finish of the night and we have to focus on qualifying and running well in our heat race. I think if we have a good start to the night, we'll be in a position to get our first win of the year for Bass Pro Shops, J.D. Byrider and Chevy."
