Tony Stewart Racing, McMahan Seek Victory in Chevy Racing Sponsored World of Outlaws Sprint Series Action at Eldora Speedway
INDIANAPOLIS (September 17, 2007) -- The World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series' heads to Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway this weekend for the fifth and final time of the 2007 season and Tony Stewart Racing's (TSR) Paul McMahan will seek a second victory at the legendary half-mile track in Rossburg, Ohio.
On Friday, Sept. 21, the WoO Sprint Series will take to the track to begin first leg of the American Revolution Weekend presented by Chevrolet. Featuring the WoO Sprint Series and United Midwest Promoters (UMP) Modifieds, Friday's event will precede the 26th annual USAC 4-Crown Nationals scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22.
Eldora Speedway's high-banked oval was very kind to McMahan on June 2 when he earned his first career WoO Sprint Series victory at the facility. In the July 14 King's Royal event, McMahan earned a sixth place finish and KSE Hard Charger honors in the historic race.
In 64 starts this season, McMahan has earned two victories along with 13 top-five and 34 top-20 finishes. He also scored seven fast time awards and is ranked eighth in the series standings with 8,381 points.
The two-day American Revolution Weekend presented by Chevrolet will kick off on Friday, September 21, with gates opening at 3 p.m. EDT. Practice for the WoO Sprint Series and United Midwest Promoters UMP Modifieds begins at 6 p.m. EDT with racing scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
For Saturday's American Revolution Weekend/USAC 4-Crown finale, gates will open at 11 a.m. EDT. Practice and qualifying for the USAC Silver Crown, Sprint and Midget divisions will take place between 3 -- 6 p.m. An autograph session featuring the stars of USAC is scheduled for 6:15 -- 7 p.m. EDT. The event is open to the public and will be conducted in the multi-purpose building outside turns three and four on the Eldora Speedway property. Racing for all three USAC divisions will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Reserved seating for both nights of the American Revolution Weekend at Eldora Speedway can be purchased by calling 937-338-3815. Race fans can also purchase tickets at the gate each day.

Quotes from Paul McMahan, driver of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Eagle:
What would it mean to win this Friday's Chevrolet-sponsored event at a facility owned by your car owner, Tony Stewart?
"We're going into Eldora with an equal playing field facing us. Even though we won there in June, you're only as good as your last race results say you are. The win came in June. This is September. The good thing is that we're coming into Eldora with a solid week of top-five and top-10 finishes behind us. That's definitely a confidence booster. It was really a lot of fun to call Tony after we won the race in June, he loves Eldora and we know how much it means to him when his teams run well there. If we can win this Friday's Chevrolet sponsored race it would be an awesome feeling to get to make a call like that to Tony and Bass Pro Shops. If we're able to build on the momentum we're carrying right now, I think it's definitely a possibility."
McMahan will be featured in a two-part series that gives race fans an up close and personal view of a lap around Eldora Speedway. The series will run September 19 -- 20.
