'TK' Records Third Straight Top-10 Finish

BARBERVILLE, FL (February 10) -- Tim Kaeding raced into the top 10 in his third straight World of Outlaws "A" Feature Sunday at the 37th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals finale at Volusia Speedway Park.

"TK," who started the 30-lap "A" Feature outside the ninth row, drove Tom Rolfe Racing's #10 J.F. McCray Plastering Maxim past eight cars to finish in 10th place. He passed Chad Layton and 2007 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year Chad Kemenah during the opening lap, exchanged 13th place with 2007 World of Outlaws runner-up Joey Saldana during the race's middle stages, then made his way around Kraig Kinser and Lance Dewease during the final seven laps.

Kaeding, who received the National Sprint Car Poll's "Wild Card" Award for exciting performances in 2007, was the 18th-fastest qualifier in the 42-car field -- only .16 seconds off fast-qualifier Shane Stewart's pace. He finished sixth in the Second Heat Race, then became the last driver to qualify for the main event when he beat fellow Californian Randy Hannagan across the finish line by 1.006 seconds.

"TK" ranks seventh in the World of Outlaws point standings after three races -- eight points behind Dewease and 53 behind series leader Craig Dollansky.
