World of Outlaws Postpones Sedalia Event

SEDALIA, MO (April 11) - For the third straight weekend, Mother Nature has kept the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series from running its races on schedule. Unseasonably cold temperatures, including snow and sleet across Missouri forced World of Outlaws officials to postpone its $75,000 event at State Fair Raceway Thursday. Instead of racing Friday and Saturday nights, the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series' first races at the semi-banked, 1/2-mile oval in 12 years have been re-scheduled for Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Strong winds caused the World of Outlaws' March 29th event at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City to be postponed to June 24th. Last weekend, after successfully running the preliminary races at Eldora Speedway, the feature program was rained out. WoO
