Hannagan getting closer to that first win of the season!

Rapid City, SD (August 18th, 2006) The Hurricane, Randy Hannagan was rolling last night in the Black Hills behind the wheel of the Penthouse Magazine #1x Maxim. Hannagan was fast all night long. Beginning in qualifying where the San Jose native would time in 6th quick and start 5th in the 4th heat. Using a great start at the drop of the green in the heat, Hannagan would be up to 2nd in the first two laps and on lap 3 take the lead and never look back. With a 6 pill being drawn for the dash Hannagan would start on the pole. Battling a tight condition the Hurricaine would hold onto finish 3rd and start inside the 2nd row of the feature.

Hannagan would use that starting position to his advanatage and stay in the top 5 through the entire race. Using mainly the bottom line Hannagan would run with the leaders the entire race. Lap traffic became a factor on lap 15 and getting pinned behind a slower car, Hannagan would lose 2 spots but no more. The Penthouse Magazine #1x would stay in 5th and cloing in on 4th when the checkers flew giving Hannagan another top 5 finish.

"We were decent tonight." Said Hannagan. "After a disappointing Nationals it was good to come in and get a top 5. The Penthouse Magazine car was good on long runs no douobt the cautions hurt us a bit. The guys have worked their butt off giving me good stuff night in and night out. All we can do is keep working hard and I think that win is getting closer and closer."
