Las Vegas, Nev.--Oct. 13, 2006-- The final round of the Snap-on® Pit Crew Challenge is just around the corner for the hardworking crews of the World of Outlaws Sprint Series. The finale of the three-race competition is set for Friday October 27 at 2 p.m. in the spacious pit area of The Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

After changing front ends in Round One at Princeton (Minn.) Speedway in July and components on the rear of the car in Round Two at Skagit (Wash.) Speedway in August, Round Three will see the teams complete a motor change, against each other and the ticking clock.

With the help of the Snap-on® Tools that they will be using along with their sheer determination, the crews will be swapping motors in an exhilarating 15 minutes from the time the first bolt is loosened until the last one is tightened.

In Round One, the Kasey Kahne Racing team led by crew chief Willie Kahne along with Justin Adams and Kevin Cardoza changed a front end in just over two minutes. Not only did they hold off the challenge of their fellow competitors, but also triple digit temperatures that blanketed the area with a record setting heat wave.

Round Two brought much cooler temperatures, as the TMAC Motorsports Inc. team led by crew chief Steve Fitzpatrick along with Russ Hall and Adam Stull took top honors, by changing two rear tires, two rear shocks, and two rear radius rods in just over a minute and a half.

The Kasey Kahne Racing team currently leads the overall standings by 15 seconds over the Dan Oswalt Racing team, with $3,000 on the line for the crew with the lowest elapsed time after the final round. The Kahne team finished second in round two to extend their overall lead to just over 19 seconds.

The Dan Oswalt team consisting of driver Justin Henderson, his crew chief/father Rod, and Chris Timmerman finished second in round one and backed that up with a very solid third-place finish in round two, to put them solidly in the runner-up spot heading into the finale at The Dirt Track @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The Jeremy Campbell Motorsports team is third in the overall standings, and working with driver Jeremy Campbell for round three will be two new crew members, Kevin Loveys and Mike Kruchka both from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

After their win in round two, the TMAC Motorsports team is fourth in the overall standings, with the Terry Hannagan Racing team rounding out the top-five.

The competition will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday October 27, and all fans are welcome to attend and see the skill and determination of the hardest working crews in racing, as they complete a full motor change in an amazing 15 minutes.

Snap-on®, which provided impact wrenches for all the teams to use, is rewarding the top three teams at each stage with $600 to the winning team, $200 to the second-place team and $120 to third place. The top three teams with the lowest overall accumulated time also will receive honors and rewards. The champion will pocket $3,000 with second place picking up $1,500 and third place collecting $600.
