FARMER CITY, IL (June 4) -- Mother Nature is at it again.

Rain forced the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series to postpone all or part of its fourth race in the last 17 days Monday when Farmer City Raceway fell victim to Mother Nature.

The $51,600 event at the high-banked, 1/4-mile oval is re- scheduled for July 11th.

Showers forced sprint car racing's premier series to postpone the Wirtgen Shootout main event to July 27th when it returns to Williams Grove Speedway. A week later, the series had to postpone the Preliminary Feature of the Chip Thunder Outlaws Showdown Presented by Lance Snacks at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway 24 hours. Lernerville Speedway lost its first live televised race on TNN: The National Network Friday when storms made the semi-banked, 1/2-mile oval unsafe for racing.

The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series will return to Lernerville for the inaugural Commonwealth Clash Wednesday. The series will sanction the Second Annual CHANNELLOCK Challenge at Bristol Motor Speedway June 8-9. TNN will televise both Bristol races live, starting at 9 p.m. (EDT).
