World of Outlaws presents season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
LAS VEGAS -- Steve Kinser has clinched his 19th World of Outlaws title, but that will not diminish his desire to win this weekend's season finale at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Kinser celebrated his 19th championship following this past weekend's event at Thunder Bowl in Tulare, Calif.
"I always enjoy coming to Las Vegas," Kinser said. "The track is great and the city is great. We have started the season there, and it's a perfect place to end it as well."
This is the second visit this year at LVMS for the World of Outlaws. Kinser picked up his third Las Vegas A-feature win in March and is looking to become the all-time wins leader at Las Vegas on Saturday night. Kinser, Danny Lasoski and Mark Kinser all have three career wins in Las Vegas.
Other notable drivers include Erin Crocker, who became the first woman to ever win at Outlaws event this past weekend, and Outlaw veterans Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana and Donny Schatz.
The schedule is the same for both evenings with the World of Outlaws heat races beginning at 7:05 p.m. followed by an IMCA Modified four-lap dash. The Outlaws will have two dash races of their own before beginning the feature events, followed by a 12-lap B-main. The A-main feature will be 25 laps on Friday and 30 laps on Saturday. The IMCA Modifieds will compete in a six-lap exhibition feature in between the A and B-mains.
Practice is set to begin at 6 p.m., with qualifying taking place at 6:30. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and spectator gates open at 5 p.m.
Fans may purchase reserved or general admission tickets for the event. Reserved blue tickets are $35, reserved white tickets are $30 and general admission tickets are $25. Pit passes are available for $10 and those wanting a pit pass must be at least 14 years of age. Ticket prices do not include tax.
