"The Dude" to Kick Off Season at Florida
Danny "The Dude" Lasoski and the Tony Stewart Motorsports team are geared up and ready for a full assault on the Winter Nationals at East Bay Raceway Park. Racing kicks off Wednesday for the first night of the four-day show. Lasoski and crew have their arsenal built up and are ready for action. "Jimmy Carr, Todd Splain and Mikey Kuemper have been working hard to get everything ready and we can't wait to get going. I enjoy the beginning of the off-season, but after a few weeks I am ready to get going again. Lucky for us we have a ton work to keep us busy, and with the Chili Bowl and Australia thrown in there the time goes by quickly. But now it is time to get down to business," said Lasoski.
Lasoski will be sporting a new Bass Pro Shops paint scheme for the 2005 season. "We have the new cars done and the look is quite a bit different we've had the past few years. We have Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Boats joining our team and we couldn't be happier. JD Byrider, Mopar, Arctic Cat, American Compressed Steel, Eagle Chassis and the rest of our great sponsors have stayed on in addition to the new ones and we look forward to a great year," said Lasoski.
After three solid nights at Parramatta City Raceway in Australia, the Dude looks to keep their momentum alive in the coming weeks. "We think it is important to be fast right out of the box. Jimmy and the guys gave me a great car in Australia and we were able to win one night and run second in the other two shows. I hope we can keep that intensity up and hit it hard in Florida," said Lasoski. "We are just going to go out and give it our best. We know the results will come if we do our job."
