Jeremy Campbell -- RLM Financial Services/America's Best Value Inn's/PurePower/Motul/G-Force Racing Gear #10C Maxim
Campbell had one of his best weekends of the year this Past weekend at Attica and Haubstadt. He started at Attica by qualifying 13th out of 55 cars and running 2nd in his heat thus qualifying for the dash. He would start 6th in the dash and finish in the 7th spot which is the spot he would start the feature in. In the feature Campbell would flex his muscle and run in the top ten. In the closing laps he was involved in another cars mishap and had to go to the work area. He returned and would finish 18th.
Haubstadt the native of Monroe, MI would really flex his muscle as he qualified in the 10th position and finish 2nd once again in his heat and make the dash. In the dash Campbell would finish in the 8th position and start the feature outside the 4th row. Campbell was fast on the bottom and was soon battling each and every lap for the top 3 positions. Lap after lap he stayed in the top 3, Campbell would eventually finish 4th his best finish of the season.
"We had a pretty good weekend." Said Campbell. "We were fast at both tracks. It feels good to show what we are capable of. We struggled for a long time this year but I think we got a lot of things figured out. Knoxville is one of my favorite tracks that we race at and I am looking forward to another strong run this coming weekend."
Daryn Pittman -- Titan Garages and Car Ports/Hop & Sack Convenience Stores/B&B Oval Products #21 Maxim
Pittman came into this weekend 3rd in the points standings and was optimistic about his chances to gain some points at 2 bullrings. At Attica it did not look promising when he would qualify in the 26th position and have to start 7th in his heat. He would make the necessary adjustments however and climb to 6th in his heat. The "B" main would see the Owasso, OK native would start deep in the field but would use the high line to gain spots and get into 4th place and transfer to the feature. Starting 23rd in the feature he would once again use all of the race track to pass cars and gain positions. When the dust had settled he had finished 9th after passing more cars than any other driver.
At Haubstadt he would qualify 24th fastest and start 6th in his heat and finish 6th. In a very exciting "B" main, Pittman would be in the transfer position when a spinning car would rearrange the field and move him back from 4th the final transfer position to 5th. Pittman would be forced to use a provisional to start in 25th position in the feature. He would climb 12 positions to finish 12th and remain 3rd in the points.
"Not the weekend we had hoped for but we will just go on." Said Pittman. "We were just a bit off a bit both nights but we had a top ten finish and we were moving forward at Haubstadt. There were just a lot of cars to pass. Just regroup and head to Knoxville and see if we can't get this Titan Garages #21 into victory lane again."
