TULSA, OK (April 17) -- Mike Goodman is ready to hit the road with the World of Outlaws Gumout Series.
Goodman will be driving C&W Motorsports' #3 smartmax.com Eagle when the series opens its second season Friday at Lernerville Speedway.
"I'm really confident about this year," Goodman said Tuesday. "We have a good crew chief in "Slim" (former Lance Blevins crew chief Jim Osborne). He's really knowledgeable and we've been working well together. We have good equipment now, so I really think we can finish in the top two or three in the Gumout point standings."
Car owner Wallace Ledford also bought a trailer and several Eagle race cars from Blevins. While racing with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series early this season, Goodman set quick-time and raced into seventh place from inside the seventh row in the Texas Shootout main event at Houston Raceway Park April 7th.
In recent years, Goodman won All-Stars Circuit of Champions races at State Fair Motor Speedway and Tulsa Speedway. He also won many NCRA and weekly races at his home track.
