Concord, N.C. -- May 24, 2006 -- Gary Wright and Randy Hannagan raced their way through Australia together in the mid-1990s. Now, Wright is helping out Hannagan on Wednesday in the Eckerd Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Hannagan, a World of Outlaws Mean 15 driver, returned on Tuesday afternoon to his native California to be with his mother, Margie, who is battling cancer.

Wright, the two-time defending ASCS National Tour champion from Hooks, Texas, has five World of Outlaws victories and more than 400 feature wins in his career.

"Randy and I went to Australia a couple of years together," Wright said. "He's a good friend and if I can help him out a little bit I will. He's running the points so we're going to do the best we can. We wish his family the best."

Hannagan and his Terry Hannagan Racing team wants to express a very special thanks to Wade and Penny Brown and all of their staff at Brown & Miller Racing Solutions for all of their support.
