SCHATZ, PARKERSTORE TEAM TEAM TAKE 11TH FEATURE WIN OF 2006

Chillicothe, Ohio (August 5) - Championships are won by teams with the resolve of never giving up. After a tough second place finish on Friday night at Eldora Speedway, World of Outlaws points leader, Donny Schatz, and his ParkerStore team returned to victory lane on Saturday night at K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio.

The win was the 11th "A" feature win for the Fargo, ND racer this season and marked the seventh time this year when Schatz followed up a runner-up finish with a victory in his next race.

"It feels great to be here in victory lane again," said Schatz following his 46th career World of Outlaws "A" feature victory and second consecutive triumph at the 1/3-mile dirt oval. "Mother Nature got a race here earlier this year and we're glad to come back here and win."

"We've been getting better and better when tracks slow down and tonight, we thought it might take rubber, but not as early as it did. Dale was setting a good pace and I just found the rubber before him. You've got to be patient in these type of races and after last night where I felt like I let one get away, we did all the right things to end up here tonight."

Schatz qualified his No. 15 ParkerStore J&J seventh in the field of 43 cars and finished fourth in both his heat race and the dash event. In the 40-lap feature, he quickly worked his way into the second position by passing Daryn Pittman. On lap 8, Schatz pulled even with leader Dale Blaney, but couldn't get by for the lead. The two waged a strong battle until Schatz got by for the lead exiting turn four on lap 17.

The final 20 laps were a handful as the track took a large amount of rubber and the drivers had to stay in the rubber and hope their tires would hold up. Schatz guided the ParkerStore J&J with Shaver power on Hoosier Tires masterfully around lapped traffic to capture the win. The victory was exactly what the team was hoping for as head to Knoxville for next week's prestigious Knoxville Nationals.

"There is nothing better than going into Knoxville with a win," continued Schatz, who added to his points lead over Joey Saldana with the victory. "This next week is so tough on every one, but to have this feeling for the next couple of days helps a bunch."

Schatz and the ParkerStore team return to action on Wednesday night in the opening evening of the 46th annual Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, IA.
