ZIMMERMAN, MN (February 19) -- Defending World of Outlaws Gumout Series champion Craig Dollansky is pleased to announce that he will return to the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series this season. Dollansky will drive Karavan Motorsports' #7 Polydome Maxim when the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series opens its 24th season Friday at Kings Speedway. The series will invade the site of Dollansky's first "A" Feature victory -- Perris Auto Speedway-- Saturday. "We're excited to return to the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series," Dollansky said. "We feel like the time we spent racing with other series the last 1 1/2 years has us ready to return to the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series. We're stronger in a lot of different areas and we have more experience. I feel like we're prepared to race with sprint car racing's best and win some races. "It's a tough schedule and you're racing against the best every night, but we have a lot of good people behind us. Scott Boyd of Karavan Motorsports and Dick Johanneck with Polydome are two of the major reasons we're able to make this move. We're still looking for a major sponsor, but feel we have a strong team." Scott Mudra, Karavan's crew chief, works with Todd Splane to maintain the #7 Polydome Maxim. The car is powered by Fisher Racing Engines and races on Hoosier tires.
