Neon Dion is back on the Outlaw trail!
(2/9/2006 Barberville, Fl) One of the nicest racers to ever adorn a pit and a fan favorite is back as a Mean 15 member for 2006, ladies and gentleman please welcome back Neon Dion Hindi. Many fans thought that Dion dropped off the face of the earth after his horrific crash in the late 90's up until he took the microphone at this year's Knoxville Nationals, then the announcement that he was joining the World of Outlaws as a full time driver came. Truth is Dion was racing out west in New Mexico and Arizona and just staying focused on the day he would return to the WoO. Last season he was part of the reason Donny Schatz went from 8th to 4th in the points with the World of Outlaws. Neon Dion was Donny's car chief after Knoxville and now is ready to use what he learned on his own J&J Chassis.
Fans will get to see the bright Neon paint schemes that gave Neon Dion his nickname, and soon will have a new marketing partner that will capitalize on that paint scheme. Dion is also joined by Motul Oil and Fluids, Pro-Blend, Hoosier tires, Butler Built Professional Seats and of course J&J Chassis.
"When I came back I wanted to come back and do it right." Said Hindi. "Fans have been so supportive through all of this and the e-mails and responses at the tracks have been great. I really respect Shane (Carson) and Brian (Carter) and think they really have the best interest of the sport at heart. There are a lot of positives that are going on with the Outlaws this season and it is an honor to be a part of it. If I did not think I had the chance to win races and have top 5's I would not be out here. I am not doing this to just be a field filler. I have a strong crew and learned a lot with Donny. I think the fans are going to be in for some good things by the 11D this year."
