Countdown to the VAULT World Finals: 4 Days

Concord, NC-- October 26, 2008--Leading up to second annual VAULT World Finals, October 30-November 1 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, as well as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, each of the seven drivers that has won an Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series title will be featured for seven consecutive days, chronologically by the number of titles that they won.

The fourth driver to be featured will be two-time defending Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion and current series point leader Donny Schatz. On the cusp of claiming his third consecutive series title, Schatz would join Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell as the only drivers to win at least three championships with the series and the only driver other than Kinser to win three consecutive.

Schatz is fifth on the all-time win list with the series with 87 A-Feature triumphs, including a series-best 17 this year. He won on Saturday night at Heartland Park Topeka for the second consecutive season. The North Dakota native won his first Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Feature event at Riverside Speedway (now Cottage Grove Speedway) in Oregon in 1998. He has been victorious with the series in each of the last 11 seasons, including a career-best 19 times last year.

Among his wins with the series include: the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway- four times, the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway-twice, the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove-twice, the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway and the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in California. He also has won the last three consecutive Knoxville Nationals.

In his career at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Schatz has won twice including last season. He has 14 Top-10 finishes during his career at the state-of-the-art four-tenths mile.

The finale of the VAULT World Finals will air live on SPEED beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, November 1. The October 31 portion of the VAULT World Finals will be taped for broadcast and will air on SPEED on Saturday, November 8 at 9 p.m. Eastern.

On Thursday, October 30 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motors Speedway, adult tickets will be $10, with tickets for children 12-under just $5.

On Friday, October 31 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, adult tickets will be $35, with tickets for children 12-under just $10.

On Saturday, November 1 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, adult tickets will be $35, with tickets for children 12-under just $10.
