Countdown to the Outlaws World Finals: 14 Days

The World of Outlaws have competed a total of 15 times at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway dating back to 2000. For each of the next 15 days leading up to the inaugural Outlaws World Finals, each of those 15 events will be recounted leading up to the opening night of inaugural Outlaws World Finals on November 1 at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Today will focus on the second of those 15 events, which was contested on May 26, 2000.

Mark Kinser, the 1996 and 1999 World of Outlaws champion became the first World of Outlaws A-Feature winner at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway, taking the lead from three-time World of Outlaws champion Sammy Swindell on the 20th lap and holding off his cousin Steve Kinser, the 20-time World of Outlaws champion for the $20,000 win.

Paul McMahan finished third, with Joey Saldana sixth, and Craig Dollansky ninth.

Current World of Outlaws drivers that also competed in the event included: Jac Haudenschild, Tim Shaffer, Daryn Pittman, Donny Schatz, Danny Lasoski and Jason Meyers.

The inaugural Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series are set for November 1-3, with the finale of the event set to be broadcast LIVE on SPEED on November 3 from 8-11 p.m. Eastern.
