Kemenah enjoying the view on the way to Skagit!
August 23, 2006 (Misoula, MT) Chad Kemmenah has seen his share of things this season with the World of Outlaws. Most of it on the track, but the drive to Skagit Speedway is providing some very nice scenery for the rookie of the year points leader. The 900 plus mile trip from Minot, ND passes through some of the most beautiful parts of the country and the Kemenah team is taking it all in. Usually there is a race to get to mid-week but this week gave the teams time to unwind and take in the offerings of cross country travel. So far though the trip has been a bit rough as the transmission in Kemmenah's truck went out and put him behind. So Kemenah decided to hit the links.
The Kemenah team travels with Jason Martin and his team, and was lucky they were traveling together when the transmission went out. The truck is not due to be fixed until tomorrow night when the team hopes to leave for Skagit around midnight. Kemenah will not let that distract him from his mission this weekend which is to put the RacinSoles.com/UUI Eagle in victory lane. The team had a 5th place run at Minot last Saturday night and is looking to build on that momentum.
"Yeah I am frustrated with the truck." Said Kemenah with a golf club in his hand. "Hey that is what happens when you travel as much as we do. I am glad Jason (Martin) was with us when it happened, we have transportation at least. I have never raced at Skagit but we are looking forward to it. We had a good run at Minot and with 20 races left we'd like another win. The scenery out here is unbelieveable, that is the best part so far of the trip. A win would be better though!"
