J&J Scores First Outlaws Feature of 2005

McKENZIE, TN -- J&J Auto Racing is off to a good start to the 2005 racing season thanks to outstanding drives by both Donny Schatz in his #15 ParkerStore J&J and Fred Rahmer in his #88h J&J. Schatz defeated the field of more than 70 entrants in the Outlaws Down Under II finale at Parramatta City Raceway in Australia on Sunday.

The victory was win number five on Australian soil for Schatz in his familiar #15 J&J and included his fourth $50,000-to-win Sprintcar International victory in the last five years.

On Sunday night, Schatz who finished sixth and third in the preliminary events, started the 40-lap feature event third and passed early leader Danny Lasoski and went on to record his 28th career World of Outlaws "A" Feature victory. Schatz has won consecutive WoO features after taking the 2004 season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

While most of the focus was on the leaders, Fred Rahmer put on a show of his own in the feature event. Rahmer, who won a career-best 32 features in 2004, raced his #88h J&J from the 21st starting position to finish fifth capping his Australian journey on a good note.
