Ruberti pleased to receive the LMGTE AM year end trophy

19/12/2012 - Paolo Ruberti and his lineup mates Gianluca Roda and Christian Ried, have been unquestionably the dominators of the FIA WEC 2012 strong of four wins and three podiums in eight races of LMGTE Am series. Regulations did only include the teams' title, therefore, despite the very good season of the Italian driver seemed to be destined only to a virtual victory.

A few days before the awards ceremony FIA WEC organizers decided though to award the title starting from this season and therefore Paolo Ruberti received the prize last Saturday in Paris' "Night of Champions" held at the Champs-Elysees.

Paolo Ruberti: "Our season in FIA WEC has been almost perfect and so we were a bit disappointed for the lack of drivers title in LMGTE Am, that was supposed to be present only in 2013. The decision of organizers to extend it to 2012 has been a nice surprise that gave us a high valued world title".
